Distinguished professor of SJTU. Professor Liu is the associate director and tenured professor at the Institute for Aerospace Studies, University of Toronto (UTIAS). Dr. Liu works in the areas of aero plane control system design, wing deicing, multiple cooperative control, multi target control, and real time simulation of the aero plane control system. He has published more than 100 papers in key journals and international conferences, led 18 research projects, and obtained one patent in the United States. He is a member of AIAA Control and Guidance technical committee and is the associate editor for conference paper of IEEE Control System Society.  He is an associate Fellow of AIAA and CSME.
