Vice Minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Surveys SAA

On the morning of April 24th of 2015, Zhang Jianguo, the Vice Minister of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MHRSS), and Director General of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), together with his delegation, surveyed  the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics(SAA). The leaders of SJTU and SAA were also present.

Zhang and his delegation visited the Aircraft Integrated Environmental Monitoring Systems Laboratory. Tuo Hongya, Associate Researcher of SAA, introduced the founding, development, key projects and research equipment of the lab.Later,Zhang experienced flight simulation operations, including takeoff,climbing,cruising and landing.

After their visit, Zhang Jianguo and his delegation had talks with leaders of SJTU and SAA. President Zhang Jie and Vice President Huang Zhen gave reports about SJTU’s work on the Recruitment Program of Foreign Experts (RPFE). Then, Zhang Jianguo gave full affirmation to SJTU’s foreign experts introduction, and expressed his wishes to construct the Department of Mathematics of SJTU as a demonstration college of international management.

During the talk, Vice Dean Zhan Xingqun reported on SAA’s work plan, which included introducing Prof. David Zingg of University of Toronto and Prof. Washington Ochieng of Imperial College through the Recruitment Program of Foreign Experts (RPFE). If they are successfully introduced, it surely will play a positive and significant role in the development of SAA.
