Information and Control Group

Members: three professors (including two Cheung Kong professors), four associate professors, and three lectures. It also has more than 50 doctoral and master’s candidates.

Main Research Fields: Intelligent Information Fusion Technology, Image Processing and Recognition, Autonomous Guidance and Control of Aircraft, Remote Sensing Information Processing and Analysis.

Research Achievement: In recent years, the group has completed more than 30 important national research projects, including researches funded by the 10th and 11th Five-Year Plan, the National Key Technology R&D Program, projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology R&D Program (863 Program), National Defense Basic Scientific Research Program, etc. It has also been awarded 32 patents, published more than 200 SCI and EI indexed papers, and won 7 prizes at the provincial and ministerial level. Meanwhile, the lab also undertakes two projects funded by the National Science and Technology Special Programs. The team has made remarkable progress in international academic exchanges and technological cooperation by establishing close academic relationship and exchange mechanism with many well-known universities and research institutes in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Europe.
