The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics held the graduation ceremony of the 2023 graduate students

On March 22, the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics held a grand graduation ceremony and degree conferring ceremony in the lecture hall on the first floor. Shiqiang Hu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shufan Wu, Executive Vice Dean, Xingqun Zhan, Bei Lu, Bo Zhang, Fang Chen and Wei Li, Head of Student Work of the College, Jianzhe Huang, Class of 2023 Class Teacher, attended the ceremony. All graduate students of the Class of 2023 participated in the event.

The congress opened with a solemn national anthem. Professor Wu Shufan delivered a graduation speech on behalf of the College.

He affirmed the efforts and dedication of the graduates with "seeking truth and pragmatism, working hard, and moving forward courageously", and put forward three suggestions to the students. The first is to bravely undertake the mission and be a patriotic and dedicated person, taking Senior Yufen Gu 's academic career as an example to encourage everyone to set great aspirations, understand great virtues, become great talents, and take on great responsibilities. The second is to be a self-cultivating "learner", and he encouraged  students to continue to be down-to-earth and forge ahead on the new journey. The third is to grow upward, be an enthusiastic "doer". He encouraged everyone to always have dreams, strive to be a dreamer in a great era, and strive to be a new force for great causes.

Mr. Huang, the homeroom teacher, recalled the first meeting with everyone .He said that the unique personality and temperament of each student made him remember vividly. During his several years of study, he grew up with his classmates. On the occasion of graduation, Mr. Huang urged the students to continue to work hard as a unique, talented and more responsible aerospace student.

During the degree conferring ceremony, the graduates took the stage in turn. Professor Shiqiang Hu and professor Shufan Wu pulled the tassels for the graduates and awarded the degrees.

Dmitrii Borovkov and Zhenqi Liang delivered speeches as representatives of the graduates. They recalled the time of studying and living in the college, said that the time spent studying in the aerospace academy was precious and unforgettable. Moreover, they expressed their sincerest gratitude and respect to all the teachers.

Professor Fang Chen, Bei Lu and Bo Zhang awarded honorary certificates to Shanghai outstanding graduates and Shanghai Jiao Tong University outstanding graduates.

Professor Xingqun Zhan presented the letter of appointment of alumni to Minqi Xie and Dmitrii Borovkov.

On the occasion of parting, Mr. Shiqiang Hu, expressed warmly congratulations and sincere wishes to everyone on successfully completing their studies and embarking on a new journey in life on behalf of the school.  He reviewed the time of the Class of 2023 in SJTU with "unforgettable, wonderful and fulfilling", and encouraged the students to face difficulties and not be afraid of challenges. He sincerely wished that all graduates could always remember their original intention when they entered the school and strive for their dreams in life in the future.

Graduate Zhongyuan Zhu led the graduates to sing the alumni song "My Friend Nanyang". The 2023 graduate graduation ceremony and degree conferring ceremony of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics ended here. After the ceremony, teachers and students blessed each other and took group photos, and the students cherished each other. You will be greeted by a new era full of opportunities and magnificent waves!
