The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics welcomes international freshmen！

       The SAA welcomed more than fifty international students from five countries to report for registration in September 2023. Among them were 45 Russian students in the SJTU-MAI Dual Degree Program, in addition to students from Malaysia, Mexico, Japan, and France.

 

       The SAA arranged volunteers from September 8 to 15 to ensure the smooth arrival and registration of international students who came to China for the first time, including picking up the students, assisting them in registration and accommodation registration, telephone and bank cards, as well as physical examination for residence permits and other matters.       The Sino-Russian Cultural Festival and Open Day of Engineering Platform was held on September 23. The program included songs chorus by Chinese and Russian students, violin playing, band performance and so on, demonstrating their respective talents and cultural characteristics. The friendship between Chinese and Russian students was enhanced by this activity, and the SJTU-MAI Dual Degree Program was also introduced to all the teachers and students of SJTU.

        On September 28, the Academic Affairs Office and International Affairs Office held a class meeting on thesis for Russian students of SJTU-MAI Master's Program of 2021 class. Vice Dean Lu Bei and Director of Academic Affairs Office Zhou Xiang introduced the thesis requirements and gave relevant guidance.

        As the internationalization level and international reputation of the SAA increase, more and more abroad students choose to study here. The SAA will continue to strive to provide a diversified learning environment, create more opportunities and platforms for international students, and promote close communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign teachers and students.
