Job Fair in aerospace fields was successfully held at School of Aeronautics and Astronautics

  To serve the talent strategy of the Party and our country, encourage and guide more graduates of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to “build high aspirations, work hard, get on a big stage, and make great contributions”, on September 19th, under the guidance of the Employment Center, the SAA hosted the national key industry job fair——aeronautics and astronautics special event. This fair invited 26 enterprises from the industry to participate.

  Hu Shiqiang, secretary of the Party Committee and executive vice dean of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Chen Zhe, director of the Employment Center of SJTU, communicated with employers, learned about their employment needs and recruitment situation in detail, and expressed their willingness to strengthen contact and communication with employers and promote high-quality employment of graduates. They encouraged students who came to apply for jobs to seize opportunities, improve their professional literacy, and actively adapt to market demand. Hu had a cordial communication with alumni who came to recruit at the scene, cared about their development in the enterprise, and encouraged alumni to return to school to give lectures and play a peer-leading role.

  The atmosphere at the job fair was enthusiastic. Students talked with participating enterprises in depth and actively submitted resumes. The participating enterprises praised that our university has high-quality talent training, students are down-to-earth and hard-working, and have strong adaptability. Among them, COMAC Shanghai Flight Institute also attached great importance to this recruitment work with optimizing the recruitment process, organizing multiple departments to conduct on-site recruitment interviews, in order to recruit outstanding talents more accurately and efficiently.

  Among the students who came to apply for jobs, Cong Zhiyuan, a master student of COMAC Class 2021 who is currently doing long-term internships at COMAC Shanghai Flight Institute, Zhong Xinyu, a master student of 2021 and other students rushed back and actively participated in the fair. They said that this recruitment fair greatly alleviated the employment pressure of students. Students can apply for suitable positions according to their own conditions. Zhang Bo, a doctoral student of 2019 as a fresh doctoral graduate of the SAA, said that through communication with employers, he understood the culture of different enterprises, understood the diversity of career development, and clarified his own career positioning more clearly.

  SJTU has always attached great importance to graduate employment work and gave comprehensive guidance and strong support for this fair to help students achieve higher quality employment. Since the autumn campus recruitment work for graduates of 2024 was launched, the SAA has carried out employment guidance work in an efficient manner. Through employment practice, alumni salon, recruitment briefing session, employment guidance, long-term internship and other activities, the SAA actively build an employment platform, optimize employment services, and strengthen precise employment. The school will closely connect with national major strategies, continuously improve the “three-full education” system, strengthen process guidance, do a good job in deepening and refining employment work, and send more outstanding talents to aeronautics and astronautics enterprises.
