Fan Yitong, a doctoral student from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was awarded the "Academic Star" of the eighth Shanghai Jiao Tong University Graduate Students.

On the afternoon of December 13th, the 8th Shanghai Jiao Tong University Graduate "Academic Star" evaluation and defense meeting was held in the Chen Ruiqiu Building, Room 100, Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Fan Yitong, a 2021 doctoral student from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was awarded the title of "Academic Star".

Fan Yitong, a 2021 doctoral student at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, is mentored by Professor Li Weipeng. Her research focuses on compressible wall turbulence. She has published 13 academic papers in authoritative journals of fluid mechanics such as the Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Physics of Fluids. Among these, she is the first author of 9 SCI papers, with 7 published in Q1 journals (2022 JCR division). Her personal h-index is 7. She serves as a reviewer for several journals, has participated in 4 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and was twice invited to participate in the Madrid Turbulence Workshops. She has been awarded the national scholarship four times, and recognized as Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Jiaozheng Scholar, Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai. She is currently a joint Ph.D. student of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Melbourne.
