On April 6th, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) welcomed over 150 alumni from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to celebrate the university's 128th anniversary. The alumni returned to the vibrant campus to witness the glory of their alma mater and reminisce about their time as students.
The day started with a university-wide ceremony where alumni attended inspiring talks from SJTU's leadership. The speeches highlighted the university's journey towards becoming a world-class institution and the importance of reflecting on its roots to shape a brilliant future.
Two notable alumni, Liu Bing and Wu Bing, were invited to share their expertise and career insights. Liu Bing, from Aviation Industry 615, spoke about the legacy of China's aviation industry, while Wu Bing, from the China Academy of Space Technology, provided insights into the country's space station program, both encouraging students to pursue careers in aerospace.
A special "Aerospace is With You" garden tour allowed alumni to revisit their academic past, with cultural exchanges featuring Russian students and interactive activities that sparked interest in the younger generation.
The "SJTU Alumni Festival" in April added to the cultural experience with a collage-making workshop, showcasing Russian art and fostering community engagement.
