Aerospace Systems, an international journal focused on aerospace systems-level research and development, has been officially included in the EI Compendex, an authoritative international database.
The journal, with the CN serial number 31-2193/V and ISSN 2523-3955, is hosted by the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is published in English and has a distinguished editorial team led by Professor Jing Zhongliang, a distinguished professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The editorial team also includes Professor Dmitry Yu. Strelets from the Moscow Aviation Institute, Professor Zhan Xingqun from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Professor Zhenghong Zhu from the University of York, who serve as regional editors.
In collaboration with the renowned international publisher Springer Nature, the journal is published and distributed globally. Since its inaugural issue in 2018, the journal has rapidly developed, transitioning from a biannual to a quarterly publication. To date, it has published 7 volumes and 21 issues, totaling 295 articles.
With a rigorous selection process for articles, an authoritative editorial team with a 55% international composition, and an efficient review process with a median review time of just 14 days, "Aerospace Systems" has quickly gained prominence in the academic community. In 2020, the journal was included in the Scopus database and received high commendation from Springer Nature with a 97% overall satisfaction rate. In 2022, it was selected as a preferred journal in the "Overseas Science and Technology Journals Return Project" by the China Association for Science and Technology.
The journal actively supports the open access of excellent articles, providing authors with a broader platform for academic dissemination. According to official Scopus data, the total citation frequency of the journal has increased from 206 times in 2022 to 332 times in 2023, with the Citescore rising from 1.4 to 1.8, and the number of downloads growing from 24,000 in 2022 to 44,000 in 2023.
About the EI Compendex Database
The Engineering Index (EI) is one of the four major famous retrieval tools in the world. As an international citation and abstracting database with significant influence, it has strict selection criteria and procedures. The purpose of the selection is to include journals that are academically rigorous, highly practical, of superior quality, and published in a timely manner.
The inclusion of "Aerospace Systems" in the EI database will further enhance the journal's academic influence globally, promoting its development to a higher stage. It will also facilitate academic research and exchange in the field of aeronautics and astronautics at the university and the school, propelling related scientific endeavors to new heights.
